The Ever-Changing Beauty Standards - Is Perfect Always Best?

Have you ever just sat down with a cup of tea and thought about the many beauty standards we set for ourselves? It feels like we're always running a race trying to catch this constantly changing idea of "perfection". And now, it's not just about looking great but feeling it, too, right?

Here's a thought. Sometimes we convince ourselves that if we don't look or feel "perfect", maybe we aren't doing enough for ourselves. It's a teeny bit dramatic, I know! But don't we all have those moments? Setting those sky-high bars and then feeling a tad blue when we can't reach them.

I'll be real with you: there are days I feel far from my best. Whether it's those extra holiday pounds, a hint of a wrinkle, those nights I stayed up binge-watching (oops!), or that time, I hit snooze and skipped my morning hair routine. Those are the days I play hide and seek with my mirror!

But then, oh, there are those other days! When I'm absolutely loving my vibe, getting sweet compliments, or just rocking that dress I adore.

All these ups and downs got me thinking: Why are we so obsessed with perfection? Maybe it's time we embraced our version of "good enough".

While some fabulous individuals always feel they're on cloud nine, I've realized I can't always be on that cloud. And guess what? That's totally okay! For me, life's about finding a rhythm. Wearing what makes me happy, treat myself to a spa day now and then, or trying out fun beauty hacks. And it's equally about giving myself grace when things aren’t picture-perfect.

Remember, life's a journey, not a destination. Let's aim for that cozy spot where we're just happy being us.
